Croom Macra news
County Fundraiser Table Quiz on in Lena’s Bar Adare this Thursday 29th January. The winning Macra team will represent Limerick in the National Question Time. Everyone is welcome and it would be an excellent opportunity for new members to come along to an event and found out what Macra is all about. Congratulations to the Shannonside Club who defeated Croom in a well fought out debate last Friday night in Mainister. The motion for debate was ‘The Irish government should actively discourage citizens from shopping across the border’. It was successfully proposed by four great speakers, Liam Lenihan, Patrick Lenihan, Colm Quain and Jim Kennedy. The Croom members did their club proud and no doubt, their speakers will be seen again on the debating circuit soon. Representing Croom were Diarmuid Mulvey, Anna Holland, Seamus O Connell and Lisa Cahill.
