The regular Polish Mass was concelebrated at St. Mary’s Church, Croom by Fr. Szymon Czuwara on Monday night last. Fr. Joe Kennedy assisted and many members of the Polish community attended and also many parishioners joined the Polish immigrant community in the celebration of the mass. The Irish people know what immigration is all about and they have a soft touch for any immigrant setting up home in Irish towns and cities. The Irish emigrants headed for Cobh, Dun Laoghaire, Rosslare, and many departure points that took them to far distant strange lands where there arrival was not always very welcome to foreign shores. Croom and district always holds out the hand of friendship to our newly arrived immigrant and makes them feel at home.
