The Maigueside town of Croom had a sense of sadness hanging over it following the deaths of two Parishioners of Croom.  The community was saddened to hear of the death of Connie Lynch, Glenma, and formerly of St. Senan’s Tce.  The remains was removed from Daffy’s Funeral Home to St. Mary’s Church Croom and following requiem mass on Monday last Connie was buried in Relig Mhuire, Croom.  Fr. Joe Kennedy P.P. Croom and Fr. Tony Mullins, Dromin, Athlaca officiated at the requiem mass. Fr. Joe Kennedy spoke of Connie’s interests in horses and the cards and he spoke of how he met his wife Hannah at the festivals in Croom, possibly the night when Joe Dolan came to town.  Connie had been in poor health for some time and when the news was heard of his death it brought a sense of sadness to many of his colleagues, friends and family.  He is survived by his wife Hannah, his mother Helen and his brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews.  May he rest in peace.
