The death of Annie Kiely cast a gloom over the tightly knit community of St. Senan’s Tce.  Annie was one of the senior citizens of the Terrace.  She reared a large family.  Her husband Paddy died some years ago.  Her home was always welcoming, her gentleness and quiet spoken voice endeared her to many people.  She had a smile for everybody.  She engendered a great family bonding.  She loved to have her family around her and their visits to her home in the terrace.  The death last week-end of Mrs.  Annie Kiely, (nee Hayes) St. Senan’s Tce., Croom, at her home.  Her remains was removed from Daffys Funeral Home on Monday last to St. Mary’s Church, and burial took place to Relig Mhuire following requiem mass. The community has lost a great parishioner and church goer.  Her large family, her sisters Sr. Frances (France), and Mary, grandchildren, great grand children and a large circle of relatives and friends will sadly miss the kind and gentlewoman of the Terrace.
