Yes, it the the 8th day, of 8th Month August ,the year 2008.It falls once in a century.The Chinese decided on this date for the Olympics which will commence at 8.08pm ,they consider it good luck “ba ” is the number 8 in Chinese Mandarian and “Faat” in Cantonese .Two eights next to each other also resemble the Chinese character for double happiness – a common symbol for weddings as it shows two people uniting as one.

Yvonne Tracy one of Ireland’s greatest ladies soccer players i watched in action last night on Setanta Sports playing for Arsenal v Everton in the Community Shield the opener for the coming season,what a player she is ,I been an Arsenal follower for 38 years would have followed her progress ,now with the advent of the Arsenal Channel on Setanta the coverage has never been better.

Yvonne comes from a very sporting Limerick family ,her brother was with Arsenal for a spell and recently has returned home to play with Limerick. Yvonne has been with Arsenal for nine years joining them in 2000 having previously played for St.Patricks and Lifford defence been her position .She has also 50 international caps for the Republic of Ireland,Emma Byrne and Ciara Grant are the other Irish Players with the club.The 2006/2007 season was the greatest for her in the quadruple of trophies which she won with the Arsenal ,namely the the Uefa European Cup Champions trophy the highlight of a glittering career.
